Today,
It is less than a week before the savvy stews find them selves, for the first time, in one spot: Madison, WI. I can’t wait for all of us to finally be together in me place! While PP, or Princess Patti, has not yet met Gailen or Fergie, I know that she will get along great with Fergie because they are both such loyal companions and both do such similar work for the ‘Savvy Stews’ brand. I am truly looking forward to spending time with both Pattie and Fergie, and of course Bobby and Gailen, in Madison for the filming of season two. I have been working closely with the greater Greater Madison Convention & Visitors Bureau to build a great schedule for are us and think we have some really great things planed. I hope you all are looking forward to watching season two of the ‘Savvy Stews’ as much as we are to filming it!

First of all, let me say, Patti’s business cards are on the way. Yes, it was an oversight. The budget didn’t allow, at the time of ordering, for me to buy cards for everyone so I figured I would get cards for the people who needed them ASAP and dealt with the public most, that being Brad and myself. I was supposed to order hers soon after once we got an advertising debt paid to us, but, then I simply forgot.

With that said, we’re headed to Madison next Friday. I can’t believe its here already. The month of April is disappearing before my eyes and I theres so much going on in the next two weeks we’re not going to know what hit us.

Madison is showing signs of being amazing. I’ll warn you all now, we’re going to look tired as hell on camera because we have 4 days jam packed with stuff to show you for the show and our network.. so we apologize in advance. We’re hitting the ground running from the second we land.

I’ll update more later into the happenings around Madison and where you see us on TV — but for now — on to one of my many other duties that Patti didn’t do….

Los Angeles, Calif – April 8, 2012 – TV Travel personalities Gailen David and Bobby Laurie, better known as the “Savvy Stews” on various regional and national talk shows, are taking their reality webseries of the same name, to Madison, Wisconsin for Season 2.

Together the duo has set out on a mission to show the public that traveling isn’t as stressful and difficult as the media sometimes portrays it. The reality webseries offers their readers and viewers a glimpse into their lives as they travel the country to spread their message, gather information for their website SavvyStews.com, which they have grown to become the largest independent travel network on the internet, all while balancing their other projects and careers.

“You know you’re doing something right when a passenger who boards your plane recognizes you from your website and says that they followed your tips on getting through security and it made their morning easier,” recalled Laurie, who has been an active flight attendant for the past seven years.

Now they’re headed to Madison, Wisconsin to profile the city for their show and website. “We’re taking a new approach with season 2,” explained David, “we’re going to be showcasing more of the location scouting for the venues and destinations we’re visiting for our network.” Brad Smith, the Savvy Stew’s Production Coordinator says, “We’re excited to visit Madison. There’s so much to see and do and trying to jam it all into four days is quite the challenge.” The show will be filming in the city April 20th through 23rd. “We’ve got a lot of great tours and events lined up and our followers are already looking forward to coming along for the journey through the city with us when the second season airs.”

Savvy’s followers will be able to keep up with the filming of the series via twitter by following @TheSavvyStews as well as checking the show’s website, SavvyStews.tv, for image updates. Patti Broughton, The Stews’ assistant and commonly referred to as ‘Princess Patti’ on the series, added: “We’re expecting Season 2 to start airing in September 2012. Our last episode of Season 1 is scheduled for April 28th.”

Savvy Stews: The Series currently is viewable on their website as well as blip.tv, TiVo, Roku, and AppleTV and has a viewership of more than 30,000.

I’m a bit shocked at the moment! With as much work, time, energy, and sleepless nights that went into getting Savvy off the ground, to see it on my TV is just plain amazing and made it ALL worth it!

I hope you had a chance to watch the first episode and learn a bit more about me and my team here in Los Angeles. Next week you’ll meet Gailen & Company in Miami and you’ll get a better idea of how we operate and what it takes to keep our blogs running and the TV segments filled with information hopefully no one else has.

Doing this show has been interesting though — it’s weird to always have a camera on you and in your face. Sure, I’ve done talk shows before, but you know you’re on for 6 minutes and its over — this is all day long. It’s a bit nerveracking — you can only imagine the types of things that you DON’T get to see because its been edited out! Did you see Patti trying to button my shirt? Seriously — that happened. Those types of videos we’re going to show you in the Savvy Extras section of the site.

Anyway — expect more blogs and updates (videos too) from the team in between shows on Sundays – and we all hope you enjoy it and get a good laugh here and there as well as learn something and pick up a few tips on places you might want to visit in the future!

The Stew’s are coming! Are you ready for departure?

We’re set to take off on November 20th with the first season of Savvy Stews! We’re going to be bouncing back and forth between Los Angeles with Bobby Laurie and Miami with Gailen David giving you a behind the scenes look at what goes into making an internet travel network created by two national travel experts stay updated with the best original content.

What sets these two experts apart from the rest? The simple fact that they are travel industry professionals! Both Bobby & Gailen, also known as The InFlight Team, are still employed full-time in the travel industry and in their free time share their first hand experiences with the traveling public to make their travel experiences as streamlined and stress free as possible. How do they do accomplish this? By appearing on local and national televisions shows and lending their voices to various publications as well.

Savvy Stews will follow Bobby in Los Angeles with his team Brad Smith and Patti Broughton as they work to keep Bobby on track keeping his website updated, help him to produce the InFlight Team’s travel segments, organize future location visits and more.

In Miami Gailen and his trusted assistant Fergie work to spread the good word of Jetiquette to travelers worldwide while maintaining his popular website Dear Sky Steward, sitting on the board of directors for Dress for Success Miami and Airline Ambassadors International, traveling to appear on talk shows; and being one of the largest representatives for Pan Am Brands.

Savvy Stews is sure to be the first of it’s kind in reality webseries taking you to the hottest locations and destinations all in the name of better travel.
